### Coverage summary

Azure NetApp Files supports reserved capacity for Standard, Premium, and Ultra service levels, purchased in 100 TiB/month or 1 PiB/month increments per region. Larger blocks and longer terms deliver higher discounts, with savings up to \~34% vs. pay-as-you-go on 1-year or 3-year commitments. The Flexible service level is not eligible for reservations. No Compute Savings Plan or other Azure-wide savings plan covers Azure NetApp Files capacity.

**What is covered**: Capacity pool provisioned storage (TiB) for Standard, Premium, and Ultra service level tiers.

**What is not covered**: Cross-region replication charges, backup charges, Cool tier consumption (only Hot tier consumption counts against the reservation when cool access is enabled on a capacity pool), Flexible service level pools, networking/egress. Usage beyond reserved capacity is billed at pay-as-you-go rates.

### Azure Hybrid Benefit

> Not applicable. Azure Hybrid Benefit covers OS/software licenses for compute services and has no applicability to Azure NetApp Files storage billing.

### Reservation vs. savings plan

**Reservation**: The only commitment instrument available for Azure NetApp Files. Scoped to a specific service level and region. Available in 100 TiB or 1 PiB monthly blocks — 1-year and 3-year terms. Reservations auto-renew by default. No Compute Savings Plan or other Azure-wide savings plan applies to ANF.

## Regional availability

Azure NetApp Files reservations are available in regions where the ANF service is deployed. Reservations are region-scoped and service-level-scoped — each reservation applies only to capacity pools of the selected service level (Standard, Premium, or Ultra) in the selected region. ANF itself is not available in all Azure regions; verify service availability before purchasing a reservation.

**Notable exclusions**: The Flexible service level is explicitly not supported for reservations. Regions where ANF is not deployed do not offer reservations. Azure Government and Azure China regions have limited or no ANF availability.
